About Aurora
Rooted in nature, Grounded in science. Created for women.
A return to your natural rhythm.
Aurora Botanica was born from a simple belief: that wellbeing begins with connection. To ourselves, to nature, and to the rhythms that shape our lives.
Founded on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Aurora brings together the wisdom of the natural world with a thoughtful, science-informed approach to women's wellbeing.
Our functional mushroom blends are intentionally simple, made with carefully selected organic ingredients and designed to fit naturally into everyday life.
We believe that supporting our wellbeing doesn't need to mean doing more. Sometimes, it begins with slowing down, listening to ourselves, and making space for what we need.
A note from our founder
I'm Elena, a scientist, researcher and mother, with a deep appreciation for the relationship between nature and human wellbeing.
Throughout my career, I've explored novel approaches to mental health and healing through scientific research, focusing on the therapeutic potential of plants and fungi, including my work in psychedelic medicine at the University of British Columbia.
Alongside my research, I've also pursued training at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Vancouver.
I'm drawn to the ways mushrooms have inspired new conversations about consciousness, spirituality, emotional wellbeing, and our relationship with ourselves, others, and the natural world.
My own journey into motherhood in my 40s, navigating fertility challenges and IVF, brought another dimension to that understanding.
Like so many women, I've experienced how easily our own needs can become secondary to the demands of everyday life. Motherhood deepened my appreciation for the importance of caring for ourselves, not as another obligation, but as a way of staying connected to who we are.
Aurora Botanica grew from the intersection of these experiences.
I wanted to create something that reflected my values as both a scientist and a woman: thoughtfully formulated products, grounded in nature, informed by evidence, and created with women's wellbeing at heart.
My hope is that Aurora becomes a small but meaningful part of women's everyday lives, offering an invitation to reconnect with themselves through the changing seasons of life.
Nature guides us. Science informs us. Women are at the heart of everything we create.

I'm grateful to raise my daughter and build Aurora on the Sunshine Coast, surrounded by the forests, Salish Sea, and changing seasons that remind us of our connection to the natural world. I recognize that this beautiful place is part of the traditional and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
